Water conditions: High Spate
Weather: persistent rain on Thursday 4th August

"...45 fish were counted in the lower section of the sportfield alone, 20 meter stretch of water..."

Persistent rain on Thursday resulted in a good spate by 7pm on the same day. Two fish were taken as the water started to rise, after which the water became very dirty with alot of debris making it unfishable. The spate had fined down by Friday morning making for good fishing conditions. There were good numbers of fish in the river prior to the spate(45 fish were counted in the lower section of the sportfield alone, 20 meter stetchof water). With more fish coming off the tides, this will excellent prospects for the coming few days, with the possibility of more rain over the weekend & into early next week.
