Weather: mild though with high westerlies bringing plenty of rain.

With lots of rain over the last 10 days, most of our rivers here in the south are bank high and brown, though should be in fine order by the second half of this week if we don't get more rain. The River Lee & Laune are the exception in that even though they are high, they tend to flood clear water, due to the lake on lough leane in case of the Laune and the Hydro Dam on the Lee, particularly the upper stretches, which is where you want to be anyway in these conditions. Good catches can be expected of the backs of these floods. There are now Salmon being caught daily of all the major waters.
