Heavy rain being driven by extremely high winds from the Atlantic has given the biggest flood of the Season on nearly all waters in the south. This is particularly true of the Munster Blackwater & the River Lee where the ESB have had Two spilll gates open at the Inniscarra Dam since early yesterday morning. Both these rivers have good runs of Salmon underway at the moment, with both May fish into mid teens & the start of the Grilse run. There have also been several large Salmon in excess of 20lbs seen around the Inniscarra beats over the last 36 hours. Great Sport will be had when the levels start to drop and the water clears and should give a good start to Summer fishing. Tightlines.
