We have finally had a few days of decent rainfall, giving us floods in most of the rivers in the south. The River Laune has a good run of fish going through at the moment, with fish being caught today through out the system, a mix of fresh & colored fish comprising Grilse and Larger Autumn fish. The Munster Blackwater has had a good flood, though is running quite dirty at the moment, fish are being caught on spinning methods. Should be good for Fly by Wednesday unless we get more heavy rain in the mean time. The Kerry Blackwater is also currently worth a cast though remember to fish a larger size than usual when fly-fishing. The River Lee had a good flood in the upper reaches around Ballingeary over the weekend, but it will take a while to filter down through the two reservoirs to the lower Lee, and we will need a lot more heavy rain before we see a decent flood on the lower river.
