With heavy rain at times over the last week and more forecast for this week, we should finallly start to see good water levels on all our rivers here in the south. With the river lee already starting to benefit from severla inches along with the occassional heavy rise from the dam. Fish are now starting to be caught in the upper reaches, along the club & ESB stretches. The raiin forecast over the coming week should give us some periods of high water from the Dam, bringiing in a major run of both Grilse and Larger fish. This is also the week when the first large runs of Grilse should be seen. The Munster Blackwater had also started to rise, though very slowly by the end of last week, so lets hope it turns into a good flood, as there are a lot of fish waiting to run there also. This has been the dryest and to be honest the worst season that I can remember to date, oweing to water levels . Lets hope that this is the Start of some wet weather now and we can all enjoy some good fishing. The rivers to watch being the River Lee, Munster Blackwater, River Laune and the Kerry Blackwater which should be getting it's first run of Summer Fish & Grilse come the end of this month.
